World’s leading smart lock brand August has introduced their new smart lock August Wi-Fi Smart Lock. Most of the people are searching the web as August Smart Lock Pro 4th Generation but official name of the product is August Wi-Fi Smart Lock. We will try to tell you what is new and what we know so far.

Differences from August Smart Lock Pro 3rd Gen + Connect

As you know August brand has already a perfect smart lock on the market which is known as August Smart Lock Pro 3rd Gen + Connect. So we will compare August Wi-Fi Smart Lock with it and try to explain everything as clear as possible. There are two main differences so far we know of:

Dimensions: August Wi-Fi Smart Lock is 45% smaller in volume and 20% slimmer than August Smart Lock Pro 3rd Gen. As physical appearance it is much smaller and more aesthetic.

Bridge: As you all know very well August Smart Lock Pro 3rd Gen needs a bridge to connect with Wi-Fi. It is still on sale at amazon.com and other websites with a bundle package named August Smart Lock Pro 3rd Gen + Connect. This is changed now so when you purchase August Wi-Fi Smart Lock you will not need a bridge anymore. It is already embedded inside the device.

These 2 things are the main and most important differences. It is now even smaller and does not require a bridge. All of the other functions as voice control, auto lock, auto unlock, smart alerts, doorsense, guest keys and remote access are already included as standard.
